Highlights

  • Eagle Care Day Camp will again be offered for the summer of 2015 with a new addition called Camp Invention. Our day camps are designed to teach kids entering K-5 healthy living habits, keep them active, stimulate their minds, and learn about Jesus. With a different theme each week, 6 day camps will be offered throughout the summer on the Heritage Christian School campus.

    Through our partnership with Spring Hill Camps, students who have completed 1st-4th grade may also attend a full week of Spring Hill Day Camp here at HCS which is included in the Eagle Care weekly fee. Additional medical and health forms will be required for Spring Hill Day Camp. Registration is open, but not limited to HCS students. A discount is available to children of HCS faculty and staff.

    New for the summer of 2015 is Camp Invention. Campers will be inspired to think BIG and imagine how they can change the world through science, technology, engineering and math. The program for students entering 1st-6th grade allows students to learn about creative problem solving and team work.

Academic Camps

Highlights

  • Jump Start is a week of activities, games and review work to help prepare HCS students entering grades 1-5 for his or her new grade level after a restful summer. Classes are small and are taught by HCS elementary teachers. New students benefit by meeting future classmates and becoming familiar with the elementary building and HCS curriculum.

    SAT Prep Course High school students, who enroll in this one week summer course, will receive valuable fundamentals that will be a benefit for the rest of his or her academic career. Students will receive a copy of "The Official SAT Study Guide" as recommended by the College Board. This course will be taught by Jeff McMaster, HS Asst. Principal.

    Algebra 2 is a high school class that can be challenging for many students. The “Introduction to Algebra 2” class is intended to provide a brief introduction to some of the new concepts that students will learn during the regular school year. It should also help students refresh their mathematical skills midway through the summer. Mr. Madsen will be teaching this class, and will strive to make it interactive and engaging. We will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for one week, from July 18 through July 22. The cost is $80 for the week. This class will not earn any high school credit.

Sports Camps

Highlights

  • The HCS Athletic Department is excited to announce their annual Summer Sports Camps are now available online for your registration! Camps will be held at Heritage during 2 weeks in June. Sports offered are Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, & Baseball! Camps are led by HCS Coaches and current high school Eagle athletes will be assisting. Camps are available for students entering grades 1-8. Beginner through advanced level training will be included.

Fine Arts Camps

Highlights

  • Audio Production Using Computers is a great intro summer class for those who are interested in Audio/Visual Production. It is open to HCS students entering grades 5-8 this fall who are interested in learning how to compose, and record music using computers. Mr. David Burford will be teaching the class.

    Under the direction of Ms. Erin Fox, Choir Camp is for incoming 5th-8th grade students who love to sing and want to gain more experience singing in a choir.

    Beginning String Camp is for incoming 5th-6th graders who would like to learn how to play violin, viola, cello or bass. Intermediate String Camp is open to incoming 6th, 7th and 8th grade violin, viola, cello and bass students. Incoming 5th grade students with at least one year of private instruction on their instrument and note reading skills are also invited to attend. Strings Camps are under the direction of Mrs. Laura Payne.

    Beginning Band Camp is open to incoming 5th-6th graders and provides focused instruction and training in a smaller group setting. Mr. Brad Gregory is the class instructor.

    Christian Youth Theatre will host a Musical Theatre Day Camp will be offered to children ages 4-12 held on the HCS campus for one week during the summer. For HCS and other locations, parents may register online through CYT at www.cytindy.org/camps/areas
